AndroidPIT's First Weekly Roundup Video!

Authored by: Steven Blum — Apr 8, 2011

From the discovery of a malicious app that spews embarassing text messages to the publishing of a study that links iPhone usage to bankruptsy, there have been a lot of  weird and compelling stories in Android Land this week. More than a few of the stories we encountered were just begging for dramatic interpretations, which is why we're so excited to bring you AndroidPIT's first Weekly Roundup! Here we cover everything from big news stories to bizzare apps we've discovered and everything in-between. After the jump, you can find links to all the stories we've referenced. Enjoy!

Steven Blum has written more than 2,000 blog posts as a founding member of AndroidPIT's English editorial team. A graduate of the University of Washington, Steven Blum also studied Journalism at George Washington University in Washington D.C. for two years. Since then, his writing has appeared in The Stranger, The Seattle P-I, Blackbook Magazine and Venture Villlage. He loves the HTC One and hopes the company behind it still exists in a few years.

    Steven is so cute...

Steven, you don´t necessarily have an iPhone to go bankrupt.

If you, accidentally, activate ´Data Roaming´ in your mobile networks setting during a stay outside your home country, you get into trouble with an android phone just as well.

I experienced this in Switzerland. My Desire synchronized whatever data... € 220,00 within 2 1/2 hours.
