The HTC One S was presented in spring of 2012 as a mid-range device in the One series. The One S is principally distinguishable by its very flat and robust aluminum housing, but this means the battery is built-in and it also lacks a microSD slot. The 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display offers good contrast, but presents a slightly blurry typeface. Like the One X, the One S is equipped with the sound enhancement technology, Beats Audio. Its fast dual-core processor and good camera are other highlights of the One S, though its biggest drawback is the small internal memory of 16 gigabytes.
