According to Samsung, the Galaxy Round is the world's first smartphone with a curved display. It was introduced in October, 2013, but initially only for the Korean market. The Galaxy Round supports the fast LTE standard LTE-A and like the Galaxy Note 3, has a display of 5.7 inches and comes with a synthetic leather battery cover. The technical data resembles that of the Note 3, but the 2,800 mAh battery is somewhat smaller. The Galaxy Round has some additional software features that take advantage of the curved screen and the rounded back of the device. It is currently unknown if the Round will come to Europe and North America.
