Sony released the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact at the IFA 2014, alongside of the Xperia Z3 and the Xperia Z3 Compact. The tablet offers the same great features and user interface as the Z3, however the hardware does differ to correspond to its tablet build. The 8-inch device is waterproof, has the same Omnibalance design as previous models, and is the thinnest and lightest device in the world, measuring just 6.4 mm thick, and weighing less than 260 grams. It's a strong competitor to the iPad mini. Other perks are a 4,500 mAh battery, which is supposed to last 2 days, its speedy Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, and augmented screen brightness.
