Hi, @alireza Yes, your device is on the update list but I can't tell you when it is going to rolled out for you it's said that probably on the second quater, It will be rolled out but still can't say when it will be available for your region, well i can say that you are going to get the update but I can't comment on when you'll be getting it. Up till all you can do is wait... :(

Well I'm ready for my KitKat update! (galaxy s3... for now... i'm pretty bored with this phone. I miss HTC, so I might go with the HTC One for a bit)

And, btw, hello again everyone! My sister's married now, after a 6-week engagement. That was busy :)

Hi, anyone know when the update to Kitkat will be available in the UK for the Galaxy S3mini & the Xperia T? I have both currently running 4.1.2 and does anyone know if the Asus MeMo Pad 7 will get updated to Kitkat? (I'm hoping it will as it's basically a Nexus 7)

My friend recently just bought Acer Liquid E2. I'm not really sure his phone will be getting this Kitkat. I feel little bit guilty because i told him all about the goodies that he will get if his phone is upgraded to KitKat. :( Hopefully, Acer still cares about its users.

Well as of yesterday my Xperia T is running 4.3 and my S3 mini is a phone shaped paperweight after I tried to root it and ended up bricking it.

I contacted LG support several times about this device, asking them if and when they'd provide an OS update, both because I look forward to the newer features after 4.1.2, and because LG's custom OS on the LG G Pro Dual Lite is... well... manure, to put it kindly.

While I can state that LG customer support is very prompt and polite, they're awful in terms of providing any useful information. Each time, their "quick, polite but Microsoft-like" response was "we'll evaluate all our models and decide later which ones will qualify for an OS upgrade".

Not very reassuring, and not at all informative. I'm close to discarding this model - and manufacturer - for some other one that provides more meaningful information, or at least a roadmap.

head to Settings > More > About Phone > Software Update > Check for Updates. If it's available it will begin downloading and install automatically.

Android 4.4 KitKat was released in 2013, and it's no longer supported by Google. Most devices that were released with Android 4.4 KitKat have already received their final update, and won't receive any further updates. However, some newer devices that were released with Android 4.4 KitKat may still receive updates to later versions of Android, depending on the manufacturer's policy.

If you have an older device that's still running Android 4.4 KitKat and you want to update it, you can try checking for software updates in the settings app of your device. However, it's unlikely that you'll find any updates available.

If you want to have the latest features and security updates, it's recommended that you upgrade to a newer device running a more recent version of Android.

Rachel Gomez
