I'm not sure. These things are very hard to say. I would bet that at some point, the app will get pulled from the market, or that the developer will get some sort of "cease and desist" letter from a record company. I would say it is not legal, so decide for yourself if you are willing to live with the risk of possibly being sued by record companies. Not saying it will happen, but we have all heard of cases against illegal music downloaders.

the app won't be taken off the market because the developer didnt break any law or term.. All the app is just a simple(and quite "old-school") script that searches google for mp3 files, just as anyone could manually do sitting infront of any web connected device with the ability to browse google... the app just saves you a few mouse clicks and "captcha boxes"...

no torrents,p2p,crazy intuitive hacks or exploits...none of that... just a simple intitle:index.of mp3 -html -htm -php -asp -txt -pls yoursearchhere on google..
