boot screen

I downloaded the app Eris root app and I did Wat it said to do but when I get to the part where u choose the flash.zip from SD I cannot choose it my track ball won't move neither will the volume buttons Wat am I doing wrong???? can any help me please...

I figured out the trackball problem while in recovery I played around with it, if I press the send button multiple times it acctually move down and the track moves it up woot...woot...I'm rooted now bitches
