flytouch2 apad problems with g sensor

bought one of these recently everything seems to work ok but when playing games, especially the car games you have to really exaggerate the turning of the pad to get the car to steer on the screen.
I updated the firmware when i first received the apad through the system update app that was already installed on the machine.
the only thing i can find is the orientation setting that you can switch on and off but this just affects the turing of the screen when in the menus, it auto rotates the screen when you turn the pad. it doesnt have any affect in the games.
already own galaxy s, so have knowledge of android system and settings
but this one is baffling

There doesnt seem to be any game settings as such. Cant seem to find any sensitivity calibration, only the screen calibration, which is for the touch part of the screen. and you can turn the orientation on or off, but this only seems to work for the menu screens and apps such as market.
