To root or not to root.. that question comes up often for folks that visit this site.
My advice is to weight the risk/ rewards..

The first question you need to ask is can you afford to buy a new phone if you render your phone useless?

If not stop here!

If you are loaded with cash.. "root"! :-)

All joking aside.. rooting can be risky but most of the time... if you are able to follow directions.. the risk is minimal.

I personally have rooted a few Android Devices:

- Moto Droid
- SmartQ V7 7" Tablet
- Droid Incredible
- Droid Eris (photo below)

I'm currently using a HTC Desire Sense 2 custom ROM on my Rooted Incredible.. and it is sweet! (photo below)

So if you can get passed the fear of turning your Android Device into a paper weight...

GO FOR IT!
