Android tablets are lacking in the optimized application department. Current optimized Honeycomb applications number in 250-300 (growing). The rest of the applications are really designed for phones, and they often look and behave terrible on a tablet . To the rescue....Google has announced that it will optimize those phone apps better using something called ‘zoom’ mode, a feature that will likely be coming in Android 3.2.
At present, phone apps on Honeycomb tablets run in ‘stretch’ mode but owners will be able to switch between stretch and zoom modes.
Now that should make tablet owners happy.
