I am new to this and am interested in getting started in writing Android Apps. Eclipse is over my head at this time. Any suggestions on getting started?

Welcome to AndroidPIT! You can ask specific questions about developing Android apps in our developer's forum right here. But since you're a newbie, you're probably going to want to check out Google's official Developer's Guide here first.
