A friend of mine recently just got a new Android with a plan of 200mb. He used up all his data in one day and now he has no choice but to use his wifi. Will using his wifi use his data usage? Is there a way to turn of data usage so that he only uses his home wifi, also are there any good apps to keep track of your data usage? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hey there, first of all, it would be important what app has used that traffic. Or does your friend watch a lot of YouTube videos? WiFi will use the WiFi traffic. If there is a flat rate, everything will be fine.

You can turn off data usage. Go to Settings -> Wireless and networks -> Mobile Networks. There you can switch off the data traffic. You might find Apndroid interesting as well. This app can help you to turn it off more easily.
