I cannot download skype on my kindle fire. It says not compatible.

The Kindle fire is an Android tablet almost in name only, which means you cannot download Android apps from the normal Android market. You have to go through the Amazon market. I know for a fact that facebook has developed a kindle version of the app and you should be able to download facebook from the Amazon market with out problem.
