I have just bought a Nexus 4.0.2 unlocked in Thailand but I usually live in Australia. I have used voip over my ADSL broadband via an ata and have an account I have used for many years ( pennytel.com ) they offer very little support. This is my first smart phone and I am having trouble working out how to add my voip account or even if it is possible, Pennytel tell me they are developing an app but I'm not sure it will be any time soon, they have one for Iphone.
I have used this account on a soft phone on my computer while in Thailand a few years ago. Sip settings 1. Line enable: yes. 2 Sip port : 5060. 3 Proxy : sip.pennytel 1. Display subscriber : ( Desired name ) 2 User ID : ( which is my phone number as well as being my account number ) 3 : ( voip password ) ( Use Auth ID : yes ) ( Auth ID My phone number ) Codex : g711a , g711u. Could any one tell me If there is an app suitable and how to do Thanks

There are lots of different VOIP apps for Android like Voip By Antisip (+Video) or VOIP -Call Cheaper than Skype, which you could try. I've never used pennytel and if it's a specific service, you'll have to wait for them to finish a app to get access to the service. But you could try some of the other VOIP programs, if you are just trying to make cheap calls on Android.

Hope that helps!
