TV tuner settings for a MTK6516 phone

hello,

i've recently posted a question about this phone in another thread:

basically it supports analog TV (PAL/SECAM/NTSC) based on the MTK6516 chip. the factory application installed for it is called "Mobile TV".
it does find channels but there is no sound (just noise) and the picture is black in white.

if i remember correctly from older TVs, this happened for example when the device is set for PAL, but the air signal itself is SECAM (or was it the other way around),. the signal in my country is PAL B/G specifically (western europe - and i've seen similar phones work over here), but i can't seem to find any settings for changing the signal format in the factory app.

does any one know a way (e.g. a good application) that can allow changing up the format ?
