How do i unlock Android password in letters?

I have put a password lock on my android so can u please tell me how to open it? I have a sidekick 4g.

Umm..do you mean you forgot your password? Is it with the slider or a pin?

If you forgot it, normally a factory reset is the only way to reset it :(
