problem with email deleting immediately after reading

I have a Samsung Galaxy 3 and whenever I read an email, it deletes from the phone and laptop. I know t here is a setting to change this but don't know how to do it.

It is with the email.

I figured it out. The email was set up as a "pop" "gmail" account originally instead of one or the other so it is working now. :grin:
