We are hoping to find out what folks think about this application or what additional features people would like to see. If you have a few extra minutes check it out and let us know what you think.

We were inspired to create the app after the 2011 tornado outbreak in the south east US. It seemed that an ICE app with location based information and the ability to let friends and family know where you were simply and quickly needed to be created. We also wanted to make sure that folks who might have a blackberry, iphone, tablet or just have a PC could receive the alerts so we decided to send them via email automatically (i.e. not intent based) and / or sms.

The Urgent Alerts contain a Google Maps link, the closest address, accuracy and a time stamp. Perhaps additional information is required?

We also made sure that if a data connection was not available at the time the Urgent Alert was sent to cache it and send it as soon as a data connection comes available.

All of these features are available on the free version to try out. Let us know your thoughts. Thanks.
