Hi all, I have been stuck on this for a while but I can't figure it out. I'm using the ADT tool and I am trying to make an app for fun and future reference. Im trying to make it so that if I simply tap OR swipe the status bar horizontally(not vertically) it will drop down. Obviously I know I can simply drag it down vertically but I feel like messing around with the status bar and seeing if there are any other ways to drop it down. Also I would assume the app has to run in the background for this to keep working? Do I need to root my phone? I have an HTC Amaze 4g with 4.1
Also on another note, with the ADT I can see an emulation of the phone which includes a blank homescreen and status bar. I can edit the homescreen but not the status bar visually. I was hoping I can drag a box precisely around the status bar and create a trigger with some code but whenever I drag a box around it nothing happens the box doesn't even get created dragging around doesn't do anything.
