I brought my first phone in 1998 whilst on a work placement during my university course. Loved the feel of it but can't believe that having the choice to change the keypad background was as customisable as it got. How far we have come.

my brother used to have that phone or one very similar. I was just trying to find a download of one of its ringtones earlier.

My first phone was a Motorola Quench. No capacitive screen and no firmware updates at all! I was stuck at Android 1.6 so I installed a custom ROM having base code 2.3!

P.S. I know, my generation is on the brink of exciting tech!

Bosch 607, back in 97 :) Used it for 7 years.
Then it made place for the bulletproof Nokia 5210 for several years. Fabulous!

Sprint PCS MM8300SVR Silver Sanyo flip phone with camera & speakerphone.

A solid little device that survived alot of accidental abuse.

I had a pager before a phone but I don't remember what brand or model it was. Bought it at Radio Shack.

Its amazing how far technology has progressed. I also had a pager before this Qualcomm phone. How about car phones?
