Does it ever happen to you that the incorrect number of unread emails show up in the notifications of your Galaxy S3?

I'd like to know why when I click to "delete all" emails, it doesn't work? It does for that moment.. I can do this but later on when I go back into my Emails and hit 'reload', the ones I supposidly deleted are still there??? I don't get it? I thought to "delete all" means just that!?

I was able to fix this problem by removing my email account from the phone and then reinstalling it.
