Hi all!
For the benefit of those who have not yet heard of the Ravenmark saga and of us, Witching Hour Studios, let me just give a brief introduction. Witching Hour Studios is a small dev team that has its roots in mobile gaming. To date, we've had two titles released in the iOS market; the first being Ravenmark: Scourge of Estellion and its multiplayer sequel, Ravenmark: Mercenaries. Scourge of Estellion is a single-player turn based strategy in the same vein as Advanced Wars and Fire Emblem. Steeped in a rich lore and a riveting storyline, the game itself has received several accolades. Spanning over 6 campaigns and over 30 hours of gameplay, the game has been lauded for its unforgiving AI, and has been a hit with strategy aficionados. The game itself costs USD 9.99 on the App store.
Ravenmark: Mercenaries, takes a slightly different approach to its predecessor while sticking to its roots as a staple for TBS fans out there. Going back to the saga's original conception as a tabletop game in the same vein as Warhammer and Warmachine, the game takes the gameplay mechanics from the first title to an asynchronous multiplayer environment for PvP mayhem. While the single player aspect of the game takes a backseat in the form of Minor Contracts and Border Skirmishes, it holds the potential to grow still.
Now, for the big news: We're coming to Android.
Yeaps that's right. In line with our vision for the company to go multi-platform, we've decided to port the Ravenmark saga to Android. We're starting off with Ravenmark: Mercenaries and we're looking for beta-testers. We understand the Android market is littered with a multitude of devices so we're going to need lots of help with testing!
