Among a whole slew of other resistance factors, a ton of apps continuously lose out on potential users because of the perceived privacy risks associated with sharing personal information. While there are obviously a lot of ways to increase your user base, MyPermissions recently has been getting a lot of press for both its end-user app and its developer service called the Trust Certification Program.

According to their stats, companies that do even basic, free certify with them typically experience growth between 8-11% minimum in their user acquisition rates.

Has anyone else heard of the program or considered working with them? If yes (to either), what are your thoughts/impressions?

Never heard it before, but how do they ensure that users trust them instead of thinking it's just another app who want to get their personal info?

they have all these rules and regulations set for themselves and other developers (in their programs) that the apps are forced to abide by -- stuff like how to store and protect data, the reasons you need to request access to various permissions, etc. on the one hand, it seems a little strict for developers -- on the other hand, it all seems fairly reasonable...
