I think My S3 battery nearly die since it can not support whole day using. I was in search of a new battery on google and found many are not using original samsung replacement. Ordered a MPJ 3200 mah battery on the spur of the moment last night. My question is that whether there is any difference between aftermarket battery and those labeled with "Samsung" but the merchant is not the samsung?? Thanks, I am a novice in smartphone battery.

As far as I can tell, a battery is a battery. Some are just overpriced. It may be apples and oranges, but when I bought a battery for my camera, there were no manufacturer-branded batteries, so there was no choice but to go third party. Probably doesn't matter with phones either.

As Joel says, a battery is a battery. OEM batteries are always overpriced and alternates are almost just as good. Stay away from ones which seem way too cheap though.
