In the recent patent licensing deal between Google and Samsung, Google picked up a decade-long ability to utilize certain Samsung patents. Meanwhile, Google is keeping 15,000 of the 17,000 patents they scored in the Motorola deal a couple years back. My question is: how do you think Google is going to use all of those patents to ''strengthen Android''? (Remember, they've admitted they're moving away from the smartphone hardware business)
Will we start seeing things like S Pen support built into Android natively by Google and available for all stylus-supported devices? Will Android bake in stock smart gesture support available to all OEMs? What about Motorola's patents? What do you think Google will do with all these patent licenses?
