I just recently updated my firmware for my samsung galaxy s4 gt-i9505 but while it was updating my battery was low so it turned of while updating the firmware.
Now when i start on my phone it gives the message:
"Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."

I tried to use Kies it found my phone but couldn't connect to it. I reinstalled the drivers used several usb ports still didnt connect to my phone.
Than i tried using odin to reinstall the firmware and re-partition it(yes i am using download mode) but now when i try to run it it gives this message:

Happened to me when windows 8 disconnected it from the USB. I just downloaded the official firmware from sammobile and flashed with Odin and that sorted it out. Tried kies but it says gt-i9505 doesn't support something or other, can't remember now.

Why did you used a pit file ? pit files are not need for normal flashing. flashing a wrong pit file will damage the phone fully.
flash it without a pit file.
