Hi,

We accidentally deleted over 400 photos on the S4 I9505 when it was connected to windows explorer (deleted via the PC).

I have tried about 10 different undelete software programs and while some of them can find older photos, none of the recent 400.

My device is rooted.
I have activated USB debugging in Developer options.
The photos were deleted today, the space can not have been re-written too.

I have tried the most popular undelete apps on the phone, they can find old photos but none of the new ones.
I have tried android specific software on the PC they can detect the phone and scan it, but same deal none of the new photos.
I have tried generic undelete software, but none of them can see the removable drive (despite it showing up in windows explorer, with all folders viewable as its rooted).

I am really lost for ideas on what to try. PLEASE HELP!!

Yeah the software on that link was one of the first ones I tried. It was probably the least useful.
The in-phone APPS found more deleted stuff than that software.

Any other ideas?

Well... it should have work out, my bad anyway (thinking) you're a rooted user try installing Undelete app out. It's another simple app for rooted user to get the deleted data out. After installing all you need to do is select the storage out and scan for the files.... try using it out see if this one helps you out. :)

I normally use Disk Digger for Android. It's pretty effective, but the free version will scan your whole card and therefore may take a while.

H-Data Photo recovery can retrieve deleted formatted photos on Samsung Galaxy S4 and new S6, you can restore all deleted picture files, including jpg, png, jpeg, bmp, tif, tiff, RAW Image.

It can't be. Since your Samsung is rooted and enabling USB dedugging, it should have been easy to recover lost photos on Samsung. I've try this software and sucessfully undelete photos on my S6. There are about 300 plus pic. Now that the pictures are not overwritten, I'm sure you definitely can get them back. Cheers! :D
