Samsung Galaxy Note 2 — Galaxy Note II works intermittently

Hi all,

My Galaxy Note II works intermittently. Even when the signal strength is good. I can receive/send calls or receive/send text messages but not all the time. I have tried moving around to see maybe the location is not good but no effect. Also, when you do a factory reset or hard reset, does it wipe out all my contacts info as well?
