what if I lost my smart phone?

Last week, I lost my Samsung S 3. God, I have tons of photos and videos , and personal information inside it.
And I also write down mu passwords using note app. God, what if the guy who pick up my phone and use my everything?
I lost in panic.
Have you ever thought about what if you lost your phone?
I bought a new one, this time how to protect my personal information? Welcome ideas.

Hello,

Normally you can activate an option on your Google account to localize your phone.
Firstly, activate this option on your new phone in case of you lose your new phone !

Secondly, you can upload your photos on a dropbox account or something like that. You can, also, upload your photos on your Picasa account.
