Motorola Moto X (2014) — Memory utilization

Hi,

Its been more than 5 months since I started using my new moto x2. This one is a 32gb model. But I have been having issue with the utilizable memory in it. It shows that only 24gb is utilizable of 32 gb. Is it for all the moto x2 devices are I alone have this issue?

I discovered the same last year with my moto X 2gen, wasn't till I started reading about android i found out that devices start with say 32gb but that figure doesn't include the operating system,!?! which when installed take's up maybe 8-10gb leaving....... a feeling of being cheated lol
