Hi All,

Recent Changes: ROOTED on 2nd Aug 2015 using Kingo root. After I rooted my phone, I did not make any other changes since I wanted to take a Nandroid backup first.

Phone Model: Lenovo S820
Android: 4.4.2

ISSUE: In WhatsApp (latest version), I do not see any contacts listed, hence I have very limited outgoing message/call access.
I have tried:
1. Following articles from WhatsApp -> tinyurl.com/p2rpa7h , it came up for a while and after refreshing WhatsApp, lost all of them.
2. Tried re-installing WhatsApp, no luck
3. From another software, I check and WhatsApp seems to have access to my contact list.
4. Removed WhatsApp account from phone "Settings" > "Account", refreshed WhatsApp, no luck.

It happened twice, that the whatsapp contacts appeared for a minute (I did not do anything, it just happened on its own) and then went away.

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

You can choose to show all your contacts, not just the "visible" ones. To do this, go to Menu Button > Settings > Contacts > Show all contacts.
