Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 — Email program not updating inbox

I am a newbie !
My email program will not update when I hit the refresh button. ..I have rebooted. .still not bringing in new emails.
Help please ?

Try to go on your Gogle bill and sunc g mail; first look if you have internet or Wifi conection.

Thanks for this....My problem was solved when I updated the software on my tablet !!
