super backup

I had to switch phones while my 3rd BLU is back to factory for repair
I backed up my call log, sms, contacts and apps with super backup to the sd card
I have restored the call log, contacts and sms on my temp phone however it doesn't seem to
recognize the apps backups for me to restore a couple of them?
is there something I'm missing here? I can see the apps backups in the file manager but
when I point super backup to the apps backup folder like for the other backups, it just seems to ignore it all?
like nothing is there?

ok looks like you need root to restore apps, started the process to root
my htc inspire, got as far as its not happy with current o/s version, need
to do a downgrade thing first to get the rooting done, researching that
now, if anybody has links/info about having to do the down grade as part
of the root please send along, thanks
