It's time to replace the battery in my N5. I want to get an original battery, not a compatible battery. Amazon.ca (I live in Canada), shows an LG Internal Battery Nexus 5 Original OEM - Non-Retail Packaging - Black by LG T $34.50, plus $10.54 for shipping. They also show Genuine OEM Google Nexus 5 LG D820 D821 2300mAh Battery BL-T9 3.8V 8.74 at $14.48 with free shipping. Something doesn't seem right if they are both REALLY ORIGINAL. Does anyone have any idea why such a large price difference? Or does the company selling the higher price battery with shipping charges have gigantic profit margins.

Look for the manufacturer. Usually, the China manufacturing costs much lower than other. But you should also understand that the quality of such batteries is also lower than the original. Also, keep in mind the batteries that are outdated cost lower.
