Samsung Galaxy Note 4 — Centre Home Button not working correctly

Hello

I am on a Samsung Note 4, running Lollipop 5.1.1.
Recently my centre home button is failing to respond to lighting up the screen from locked position. Is anyone else having this issue? Is it a common problem with Note4's when about a year old?

I haven't done a factory reset yet, but this is my next stage of trying to fix it. If I take it in to Samsung that is the first thing they will do and then hand it back saying it is fixed :-(
