iPhone needs iTunes to transfer data from phone to computer.
Open iTunes on your laptop. Connect your iPhone to the laptop using the USB cable and tap "Trust" if there is a notification box pops up on your phone.
Select your iPhone under iTunes' Devices menu. Click the "Apply" button to sync the phone to the computer.

Hi, I suppose you have tried USB cable? If it doesn't help, I guess you can only use some third-party applications. For me, I'm using Apowersoft Phone Manager. It works well. Other alternatives you can use like iTools, pushbullet or wireless app AirMore.

If you don't want to delete data on iPhone 6 to get more free space, why not transfer data from to laptop and backup iPhone 6 to computer? Not a bad idea, right? In order to transfer files from iPhone to PC successfully, a professional iPhone file transfer program is needed. FonePaw iOS Transfer is such a program.
