HI guys need some help.
ive deleted my whatsapp account via the whatsapp deletion in-app and confirming it. I've then uninstalled the app.
Now when on my friends phone, i can still see my name on whatsapp contact list, although my last seen and profile picture have been removed. you can still send a message although it will get no ticks. How long till its fully deleted from whatsapp.

It will take upto 30 days for complete deletion .

If you have deleted your WhatsApp account and you want your contacts back then there is a chance to get back those list of contacts with ease.
You can do with the backup if you have:
1. First uninstall WhatsApp
2. Then reinstall WhatsApp from play store and follow the installation guides
3. Now after installation, launch WhatsApp
• Enter every detail and verify your mobile number. By this way, WhatsApp can sense backup made by your mobile number and Google drive account and after that will popup asking you to recover those from backups
• If any backup is available on your mobile number then WhatsApp will display ‘Restore backup’ screen
• At last, click on Restore and wait until the entire data restoration is over
