Messages not received

I uninstalled my whatsapp in november 2015, now today I reinstalled the app but I didn't receive messages which were sent to me during the period in which my Whatsapp was remained uninstalled. Why is it so ? Please help. I need those messages.

If you fail to restore old backup then you will not receive any messages. If you need those messages you have to restore the backup .
