Image sharing with URL not working on whatsapp latest release (2.16.95)

I am trying to share image with URL via my app on whatsapp but it is not working throwing some file format not supported issue. It was working fine on earlier version but not working on latest release(2.16.95). May i know how soon whatsapp will release a new version with this fix?
