Did not see an answer to my problem. I have a android 4.4.2 device that will change to 100% but at 87% will shut down. The battery seams to be trained. Is there any way to reset or reverse this? I have tried several battery apps with out success.
Installing battery apps to solve a battery issue is not a good idea. The battery app itself is draining the battery and using up precious memory. In some cases, the battery app has malware in it. So battery app will not fix your battery drainage issue, it will tell you which app is consuming the battery juice and nothing more (forget about those task killers in battery apps, another bad idea). If you must install a battery app, install the app, take a look at what is eating up your battery juice, and uninstall the battery app immediately.
Your issue appears to be phone shutting down at 87%. Possible reasons for shutting down:
- phone is infected with virus
- Overheated CPU
- buggy (faulty) software/software update/apps
- hardware failure or some components may be loose
- etc.
You should check the apps that you have on the phone, consider install anti-virus software, factory reset your phone, etc.
