I recently moved to another country but I did not change my WhatsApp number and was using it for few months. I decided to factory reset my phone because it was becoming slow, I tried to use Google Drive backup but it was just stuck on "Preparing for backup..." so I connected my phone to my PC and copied all of the backups made in the WhatsApp folder called "Databases". I then factory reset it and installed WhatsApp, I then used my new number to verify WhatsApp but the backup I made of the Databases did not restore and it said restore failed, 0 messages restored. I then checked and the WhatsApp support said it has to be the same number for manual backup. Now my old number doesn't work anymore (it shows "No Service"), however I still have the SIM. Is there any way to restore those messages?
