Playing around with my OUKITEL K6000 PRO phablet this morning I saw an option named Engineer Mode that I understand would be good to increase the recording volume with WhatsApp audio voice files, a problem that appears in my cell suddenly. I'm extremely bad to remember paths, so can anyone tell me how to find that Engineer Mode option again?

Thanks, Bastian. You're right: logically, that should be in Developer Options, but is not, and I'm 100% sure I saw it this morning, and also I'm 100% sure --and also 100% frustrated-- that when I opened that Engineer Mode option it contains nothing.

My frustration was because I've read that it's using Engineer Mode properly how I can solve the low volume problem that I find when reproducing i my phablet the WhatsApp voice file I record within WhatsApp; those files are almost inaudible even when I use maximum playing volume. If I transfer them to the music folder, they have same low volume problem.

Crazy thing is that was working fine but suddenly that problem shows up and I did nothing that could cause it.

Hm that sounds really interesting.

Have you checked the mic for dirt? I know it sounds stupid, but its the first thing that comes to my mind.

Other than actually reinstalling WhatsApp, I can only think of a hardware failure.

Do you actually have problems with the mic elsewhere or only in WhatsApp?

Thanks again, Bastian. No, yours isn't an stupid question; checking the microphone was the first thing I did, and also did what is explained in this summary:

In my cell Oukitel K6000 PRO with Android 6 everything went fine, but suddenly a problem came up: all audio files recorded in my cell using the Sound Recorded app or WhatsApp voice recorder (I assume WhatsApp has its own) cannot be heard fine when played in my cell because of a very very low volume. However,
1) When using phone calls, I can hear and I can be heard
2) With Google DUO audio, I can hear and I can be heard
3) With WhatsApp calls, I can hear and I can be heard
4) Music I have in my cell can be heard fine too.

If using File Manager I transfer to Music folder any of the several WhatsApp audio files that have volume problems when I play them in WhatsApp, they sound fine with the Music app.

Do you think that uninstalling and reinstallig WhatsApp would help?

Thanks, Bastian.

I backed up my WhatsApp; uninstalled it; cleaning up my phablet using AVG, CCleaner and and a cleaner app my Android 6 has in its Float Gesture; rebooted my phablet; went into Play Store and downloaded WhatsApp Messenger; installed it, granting all permission; downloaded what had been backed up; tried audio voice messages, the ones that had been backed up and new ones, and the problem persists.

Sincerely, I don't know what else to do. Maybe I should try to forget about backing up what is in WhatsApp now, uninstalling it and install a clean copy without nothing from the past.
