I Whatsapp a friend often. One day she asked me who I was as my number does not appear on her whatsapp. This is strange as she used to have me in her whatsapp list. She checked her phone address book and said my name and number is still there though. Is this possible? that my name is in her phone address book but disappeared from whatsapp? Thanks.

these steps may fix your problems.
firstly, update Whatsapp to its latest version. Be certain that your friend's name and phone # on your contact list. then go to Setting>Account, click it >Privacy. Select My contacts for all these three items----Lat seen, Profile photo and Status.
Then send her a new message.

since you have the most updated version, you may as well take advanage of whatsapp's new security feature to prevent hacker from changing your number or tapping into your acct.------two factor authentication process-----. you can find it at account>drop down list, then click it( two-step verification)then enter your passcode and recovery email. one more layer security is done.
