Tinder and the S7 edge

Hello,

Just moved to the S7 edge (6.0.1) from a Note4. No problems running tinder on the Note, but now the app is not pulling up profiles of people near me, I'm getting the message "finding people near you" without progression. I'm in a huge city and it was working before I switched phones.

Some things I've done: uninstalled, reinstalled both apps, logged in and out of both, cleared caches, forced stop, run haxsync. I do think the problem is with syncing, because when I go to accounts / Facebook it tells me "sync turned off" for my email associated with FB. When I click my email the next screen gives me 'more' in the top right corner. Under 'more' the option to 'sync now' is greyed out.
