I have designed and uploaded a new application called High Visibility Clock on Google Play : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=highvisibilityclock.highvisibilityclock

An easy way to see all applications I have designed and uploaded on Google Play is : https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=Steven+Stanley+Bayes

High Visibility Clock is an application which shows a clock and date in black and white with huge font sizes in order to tackle the problem with difficult visibility in bright light. The application can also speak the clock and date upon the user's desire. The application features clock schedules which can be used as an alarm too and automatic zone and DST change schedule and alarm adjustments.

The applications provides two main screens : clock only and clock and date. In the two screens, the user can choose the clock style, whether a 12 hour clock or a 24 hour clock, whether the clock show the seconds, AM PM. All these are remembered and stored for the next use. Please, note the high visibility when only hours and minutes are displayed with huge font size over the entire screen.

The application also has options for automatic start at device start up and to display the current zone with DST.

The application also has specific sounds for decoration.

Everyone have a watch or mobile phone which show time and sometimes date too. So why someone installs it? Is anything new?

As clearly mentioned in the description, this is not a clock but a HIGH VISIBILITY clock which also speaks.

The differences are :

  1. This clock has huge fonts to display clock and date which are black on white. The normal clocks cannot be seen in bright light.

  2. In addition, for similar and other reasons, this clock can speak the clock and the date upon a press of a button. Even more, a schedule can be arranged to speak the clock and the date at any selected interval from 10 seconds up with a possibility to chose the number of speaks from 1 to infinity. Thus, schedules can be used for alarms and alerts too.

A good example with schedules is when one has to catch a bus or a train in, say, 8 minutes. A schedule can be arranged to speak the clock every minute, so one knows when to finish a cigarette and how quickly to smoke.
