Hi to everyone, My name is Sam. I am a retired Navy Chief Petty Officer. I served 22 years in the WORLDSAME BEST NAVY, and loved it. I am a Veteran of the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1970. I have had the privilege of seeing many great places and meeting many people from around the world. One of the most fascinating places that my wife and I were stationed was KEFLAVIC ICELAND. We were there for about 18 months. During that time, we lived out in the local community, and became very good friends with a lot of the locals. The island was breathtakingly beautiful. I am not sure if anyone will remember this, in 1970, there was a volcano that erupted on Mt. Hella. That was really a sight to see. I have to go for now, but I promise I will be back tomorrow with the next part of the story.
