Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 — Galaxy Tab A 10.1 -Tapping slow to register, poor game performance

Fully updated software for new Galaxy Tab A 10.1, the ram is cleared/no other apps running in the background except for the game in question.

Examples:
Sim City Build it - Tablet barely runs my city though it runs just fine on my iphone 6 and much older low-end ipad.

Cooking Fever - buttons are slow to register, certain items tap just fine but picking up coins is super sluggish, sometimes must hold finger on the coins for up to 2 seconds for it to register. Again, fine on iphone 6. Neither of these games have anyone complaining about android performance in review sections.

Some website links don't register taps unless I hold my finger down for about a second or two.

Any thoughts?
