Restrict data usage

I'm using USMobile as my carrier. They have separate buckets for phone, text and data. I find myself running out of data regularly. How can I turn data usage off when I am away from a Wifi source so that I receive phone calls and text, but nothing that uses data such as emails. I am running android 6.0.

Hi Ivan,

simply open the quick settings (pull down the status bar up top) and click on the mobile network icon. Right up top you should have a slider to turn off the mobile data.
