AGM A8 battery drain / nougat 7.0

i am trying to pin down a drain. it seems to happen every day about 1 in the morning, not sure if thats cos i hit the sack about 11 and some thing happens later to cause the drain. i have gsam battery monitor installed and looking at that android system and android os are always the top two, even higher than screen, they are high double digs and everything else low single. the cpu clock jumps to about 80% but there is no corresponding jump in the cpu utilization and then sits there till i switch the screen on, so it could be there for 8hrs.

also the phone never manages to make it in to deep sleep, light it manages but no where near the same as screen off. i have everything i can think of switched off eg gps and bluetooth. none of the accounts i have have had sync problems.

if i compare the graphs of when i am asleep and then when i am using it, the graph of me sleeping is dropping way faster.

the phone is on charge at the mo so no pic's. once i have a days worth i will upload. suggestions on what screen shots would be of help.
