Bug on logging to WHATSAPP

I have a friend that has a little problem that does not go away on a Samsung tablet under whatsapp. Whenever she comes back to the whatsapp logo and click on it, one person always connects, as if she wants to talk to that person.
It should show the contacts list...it does not..
What would be the solution??

Try to uninstall your whatsapp, then get and install the latest edition from Google Play, please.

She has a Tablet Samsung j3, and she updated whatsapp a week ago.

In case if you have downloaded the app from any 3rd party stores other than Google play store there are chances of bugs, if you have downloaded it from Play store then you should contact whatsapp support team regarding your issues. Hope they can solve this issue.

Hi Sarah,
The update for her Samsung, under whatsapp, came from whatsapp itself.
So, I guess will have to check from the support team.
